Electric dehydrators
They are designed for deep desalination and dehydration of oil using an alternating current electric field.
Electric dehydrators (EDH) are designed for deep desalination and dehydration of oil using an alternating current electric field.
The essence of the process of electrical desalination of oil on EDH is its water washing by mixing heated oil with fresh water, followed by the destruction of the resulting water-oil emulsion and the separation of water from the oil. The efficiency of desalination and dehydration of oil allows to reduce corrosion of process equipment and pipelines, improve the quality of the obtained products.
The destruction of the emulsion and the separation of water is carried out in special devices, where under the action of an alternating electric field of high intensity, temperature and a demulsifier introduced into the oil, small droplets of water dispersed in the oil coalesce into larger ones, which settle down under the action of gravity. The settled water with dissolved salts is discharged from the lower part of the electric dehydrator, and the dehydrated oil is discharged from the upper part.
The electric dehydrator platform of the deep dehydration and desalination unit of oil consists of a mixer of crude oil with wash water, electric dehydrators with explosion-proof high-voltage power supplies, with anti-corrosion coating, thermal insulation, a set of ZRA, piping and instrumentation, high-voltage input devices, fluoroplastic feedthrough and suspension insulators, an electrode system, automation and control systems, service platforms and ladders, a cable rack, etc.
The design and manufacture of the EDG is carried out taking into account the productivity of the oil emulsion at the inlet of one device, the characteristics of the crude oil, operating conditions and individual customer requirements.
