Hydrocyclone cartridge filters
It is designed to clean liquids, gas and gas condensate from mechanical impurities and produced water in order to protect process system components from mechanical wear and contamination.
The hydrocyclone cartridge filter (HCCF) is designed to clean liquids, gas and gas condensate from mechanical impurities and produced water in order to protect process system components from mechanical wear and contamination.
HCCFs can be used:
- in the PPD system on the liquid intake line by pump units;
- at oil metering units to protect measuring instruments from contamination;
- in the process water supply and heat supply system;
- for fine cleaning of liquids (kerosene, oil, gasoline) from mechanical impurities in order to improve product quality.
In terms of resistance to the effects of climatic factors of the external environment, FGK correspond to the U, UHL and HL versions, placement category 1 according to GOST 15150-69, and are manufactured for an operating pressure of 1.6 to 21.0 MPa. The filter can be used in rooms of all classes and outdoor installations where explosive mixtures of air with gas or steam can form.
Example of recording the FGK 150-16-300 filter when ordering and in other documentation
Filter FGK 150-16-300, TU 3663-001-95579215-2006, where:
F– filter,
G– hydrocyclone,
K– cartridge,
150– inlet pipe diameter, mm,
16– operating pressure, kg/cm2,
300– throughput, m3/h.
FGC parts and units:
1- filter housing;
2- filter cover;
3- conical bottom;
4- tangential product inlet pipe
5- product outlet pipe;
6- drainage pipe;
7- partition;
8- cartridges-cartridges
9- filter material;
10- filter heads
Operating principle
The product is fed into the tangential branch pipe 4 of the housing (hydrocyclone), while heavy particles, due to centrifugal forces, tend to the surface of the housing 1 and settle in the conical bottom 3, forming a heavy product removed from the housing through the drainage branch pipe 6. The pre-cleaned product under pressure passes through the filter material 9 of the cartridges-cartridges 8 and through the holes in the head 10, enters the product outlet branch pipe 5.
Advantages of the FGK series filter:
Filter regeneration by backwashing when the cartridges are contaminated.
Cleaning of contaminated cartridges occurs without disrupting the technological cycle.
Convenient installation to pipelines and quick replacement of filter cartridges-cartridges without disassembling the housing and connecting pipelines.
Possibility of full automation of the filtration cycle, which allows to completely eliminate the human factor in the filter operation.
Additional information on FGK filters:
The performance of FGK filters depends on the size of the filter element cells (filtration fineness). The nominal filtration fineness is specified when ordering filters, based on the conditions and parameters of the working environment, taking into account the maximum permissible pressure drop on the filter, with the provision of a granulometric analysis of mechanical impurities in liquid, gas and gas condensate before the FGK filters.
For effective cleaning of FGK filter cartridges by backwashing, the filter drain line must be tied to a drainage tank (internal excess pressure of the tank is 0 MPa).
When cleaning liquids with a filtration fineness from 1 μm (0.001 mm) to 100 μm (0.1 mm), oil products must be absent.
FGK is manufactured taking into account the parameters of the pumped medium, performance, nominal filtration fineness, operating conditions and individual customer requirements.
